Robert Franklin Bostwick
Rockaway Beach, Missouri

Robert (Bob) peacefully went home to the Lord on January 13, 2012. Bob was born on September 16, 1945 to parents Robert Gene and Kathleen (Beers) Bostwick in Jefferson, Iowa. He later moved to Des Moines where he graduated from Des Moines Technical High School in 1963.

On March 14, 1965 Bob married Pamela Sue (Freeman), and to that marriage three children were born. Robin Arnold (Jon) of West Des Moines, Iowa; David (Rhonda) Bostwick of Des Moines, Iowa; and Gina Johnson (John) of Dexter, Iowa.

Bob worked as a welder and heat treat operator for many years at AMF Lawn and Garden Division, where he was a shop steward and proud member of the United Auto Workers (UAW) Local 562, then later moving on to Dico Manufacturing.

Bob enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and spending time with his children, grand children, and great-grand children. He was also a record holder in trap and skeet shooting at the Pioneer Gun Club in Waukee, Iowa.

Bob was preceded in death by his dad Robert Gene Bostwick. He is survived by his wife, Pam, 3 children, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, his sister Cheryl Bowen (Duane) of Highland, Indiana, brother Garry Bostwick (Jan) of Boise, Idaho, his mother, Kathleen of Des Moines, and several nieces and nephews.
