Mrs. Kathryn Ruth Forret

Kathryn Ruth Forret passed away February 1, 2012 at the Carlisle Care Center. Funeral services for Kathryn will be held at 2 PM, Monday February 6, 2012, at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle with visitation to begin at 1PM.
Kathryn was born on September 5, 1924 in Adelphi, Iowa to Thomas and Kate (Jefferies) Robinson. She graduated from Runnells High School with the class of 1942. After graduation, Kathryn attended William Penn College for 2 years. After college she worked for Dr. Peterson DO in Des Moines for several years.
On December 12, 1953 Kathryn married Dean Forret. They made their home on the Eastside of Des Moines. Dean passed away in 1983. Kathryn lived in their home until 2006 when she moved to the Carlisle Care Center. She loved to do handwork, embroider and crochet. She was a good cook and candy maker. She loved pretty dishes and antiques.
Kathryn is survived by her brother, Luther (JoAnn) Robinson of Runnells and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Cap and Jim Robinson, sister Gretchen Miller, and her husband Dean.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Iowa. The family wishes to thank the Carlisle Care Center for the wonderful care Kat received for those 6 years. Also we want to thank Hospice of Central Iowa for the loving and warm care they gave Kat in her last days.
